Postpartum Doula Training
Are you thinking about becoming a postpartum doula? Are you interested in learning more about supporting mothers, partners, babies and their families? With increasing attention focused on the postpartum period today, there has been a growing interest in the support postpartum doulas can offer.
Postpartum doulas are trained in all aspects of care and support for mothers and their families after a baby is born:
- Physical Support - ensuring the new mother is getting the nutrition and sleep they need to thrive, while helping them acquire the skills to confidently care for their baby
- Emotional Support - providing the mother with a safe place to process their birth and adjust to the profound changes of new motherhood
- Information Support - knowledge of current research, local resources and when and where to refer in the community.
In a Postpartum Doula training, you will learn the skills to capably support new mothers and help them learn how to care for and understand their babies.
